Nataraja Temple

            Thillai Nataraja Temple also known as Chidambaram Temple, a hindu temple dedicated to Lord SHIVA is located in cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The temple had influenced worship, architecture, Sculpture and performance art for over two millenium.

The Temple
             The temple depicts a Dravidian style of architecture. The deity that presides here is Lord SHIVA ( Lord of Dance). SHIVA is captured in pose as Nataraja performing the ananda thandava or the "Dance of Delight" in the golden hall of the shrine.
